About Us

Suite Occasions groups have been performing for elegant events – wedding ceremonies and receptions, corporate receptions, private parties – since 1985. All of our instrumentalists are professional players, actively immersed beyond their Suite Occasions roles as performers with various orchestras and concert chamber groups, faculty at schools of music, and teachers in private lesson studios.

Suite Occasions offers not only classical background music, but light popular music, as well. (See play list for samples of both types of repertoire.) While almost all of the classical repertoire is performed in its originally conceived instrumentation, most of the light popular tunes offered by Suite Occasions have been arranged by Faith Miller.

Faith Miller, founder and director of Suite Occasions, plays with the various combinations of instruments as violinist and violist. Her extensive experience with planning the music to coordinate with special events will prove to be a great asset to you in planning your own event. Beyond her work with Suite Occasions, Faith maintains a private studio of violin and viola students at the Keene (NH) Community Music Center. In addition to teaching lessons, Faith established and coaches a year-round chamber music program at KCMC, and administrates a semi-annual gathering of adult amateur chamber musicians from the greater Monadnock Region. Prior to transferring her residence to NH, Faith was former chairperson of the Music Department at the Loomis Chaffee School (Windsor, CT) where she was director of the school’s student orchestra and chamber music program. Truly, involvement in the chamber music setting has long been a labor of love for her.
